Welcome to the Victorian Tradesmans and Delivery Horse Group. Reg No A0051720M EST 2008 …
Our founder Glen Pate (CUB Clydesdale Team) started this group beginning with a small notice in the Weekly Times asking to meet at Bendigo Showgrounds to discuss the future of the traditional delivery horse as the history and heritage was being lost by the decline of exhibitors participating at agriculture shows througout the state. An overwhelming number of interested people wanting to preserve the history and traditon attended this meeting and the group was formed. Our group aims to preserve the history and heritage of the Tradesman and Delivery Horse by way of supporting our state agriculture shows with our members displaying their horses, harness & vehicles, holding regular educational weekends around the state to give people a broader knowledge of horse drawn vehicles, learning to drive and educating our children on how horse drawn vehicles where very much part of life in the last century.
